At Weston Myer Ltd, we provide cost-effective and dependable passive isolation solutions to safeguard your process equipment from explosion risks. Our IsoFlap™ range of passive isolation flap valves offers exceptional protection by preventing explosion propagation to upstream equipment. These self-actuating devices are ideal for applications involving combustible dust, such as in dust collectors, cyclones, and various other industrial process systems.

Our IsoFlap™ portfolio includes two models: IsoFlap and IsoFlap-M. The IsoFlap model is third-party certified under the EU ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, ensuring compliance as a protective system for dust explosion isolation. The IsoFlap-M takes it a step further by integrating advanced monitoring features, such as sensors to detect dust accumulation and monitor the flap blade position. This design adheres to stringent international standards, including OSHA Combustible Dust DirectiveNFPA 654, and NFPA 69.

Both IsoFlap and IsoFlap-M feature a rugged carbon steel valve body paired with a high-grade stainless steel flap blade, ensuring durability and resilience under extreme conditions. The valves are engineered to withstand high maximum reduced explosion pressures (Pred), as outlined in the technical specifications. During standard operation, the flap blade remains open, sustained by the process airflow. In the event of an explosion, the pressure front triggers the blade to close and lock securely, effectively blocking flame and pressure from propagating upstream.

For advanced monitoring and interconnectivity, the IsoFlap-M can be paired with the IsoFlap-M Interface Module. This monitoring system features a PCB-based design with intrinsically safe barriers for sensor monitoring, offering process interlock capabilities and diagnostic functions. The Interface Module operates seamlessly on either 120 or 230 VAC, enhancing system safety and maintenance efficiency.
