PAPER CARRIER ROPE

The high moisture content of the paper in the pre dryer group is a special challenge for paper carrier rope strongly affects the tail threading process. For this application, we recommend the new XGS series:

LONGLIFE XGS, Recommended for light to medium grammages; The closed braided structure made of specifically treated multifilaments protects the rope from humidity, heat and abrasion.

HIGHSPEED XGS, Recommended for heavy grammages (>100 g/m2) and fast running machine: Due to its regular roundness, Highspeed XGS, a rope with core, is optimally suited for tail threading in this weight category. The compact rope structure provides for a very high operational performance.

LONGRUN XGS, Recommend this rope with core for heavy grammages (>100 g/m2). Due to excellent abrasion resistance, the service life of this rope type is much longer, which makes it ideally suited for all application where this is of particular importance.

The constantly high temperature in very long rope runs in the dryer group push paper carrier ropes to their limits. The chemical used in the size press can be extremely demanding on a paper carrier rope. This may lead to substantially reduced rope service life, which, in turn, also diminishes the productivity of the entire plant. In the coater, too, paper carrier ropes are exposed to demanding conditions. Chemicals and heat (infrared dryer, etc.) combined with sometimes very long rope runs require highest stability at minimum stretcher from the TEUFELBERGER XGS ropes.
